Steve’s entire career has been spent in the DIY & Gardening industry, including senior commercial roles with LG Harris, Spear & Jackson, Cuprinol and Akzo Nobel. In 2010 he established IRG Limited, the following year launched the Insight DIY website and since 2012 has launched the first independent price comparison websites within the Home Improvement sector, including Kitchen and Bathroom Compare.

Insight Retail Group Ltd (IRG) is a market intelligence agency for the Home Improvement Industry. We own and run the website Insight DIY, delivering the latest, breaking news, essential market intelligence, in-depth analysis, insight and commentary for the UK Home Improvement Industry.

Our business also runs the consumer facing price comparison websites Kitchen and Bathroom Compare, dedicated to helping consumers save time and money. Whilst our business is built on the growing consumer thirst for inspiration, independent price comparisons and unbiased information, our revenue is generated through commercial relationships with the large retailers and big brands.
