Where Amsterdam meets the world

The RAI complex is designed to be as multifunctional as possible to accommodate all types of events, whether you occupy the entire complex or only a part of it. Flexibility is always a key concern, especially in today’s market. With the growing need for locations to offer conference capacity, combined with exhibitions and/or meeting rooms at the same time.

Opened in 1961, the RAI welcomed its 75 millionth visitor in February 2001. Up to 2 million people visit the RAI every year. Some 50 international conferences and 70 trade shows are held at the RAI annually. The complex consists of 22 conference rooms and 11 multi-functional halls and has a total floor space of 112,200 m². The largest hall, Europahal RAI, can seat 12,900 people. The complex also includes a musical and concert theatre and underground parking space for over 4,000 cars.

About RAI Amsterdam

Since 1893, RAI Amsterdam has actively tried to create the right context for inspiring meetings to take place in and strong ties to develop in.

As the facilitating party, RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre creates the ideal conditions for inspiring meetings to take place in and strong ties to develop in. As the organising party, RAI Exhibitions connects context, content and communities utilising national and international consumer and professional trade fairs.

Safe & Hospitable

As one of Europe’s busiest convention centres, RAI Amsterdam hosts around 600 exhibitions, conferences and (larger and smaller) events a year. The RAI is a non-stop business during the exhibition season, with a wide range of (international) people and equipment crossing paths in quick succession.

To ensure a warm welcome for all our guests, everyone has to be able to work in an environment that is safe and sound. For that reason, RAI has drawn up a number of safety rules, which must be observed by everyone.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Every day we work with our clients and suppliers to facilitate valuable encounters between people from around the world; meetings that stimulate the sustainable growth and development of people, markets and our environment. In doing so we have designated three focal areas:

People & society
We want people to perform to their best, serve as a safe place to meet and generate social return in order to stimulate the growth and development of those with whom our business interacts.

Sustainable organisation & facilitation
We aim for zero waste, climate-neutral operations and a sustainable product range so that we can ensure an environment that enables meetings both now and long into the future.

Stimulating development & growth
We actively create inspiring events that stimulate the sustainable growth and development of people and markets in the Netherlands and abroad.

It is our goal to surprise and enrich the world with valuable meetings which really matter, now and in the future. Bringing people together expands borders… it inspires!
