Tobias Schäfers

Associate Professor of Marketing, Copenhagen Business School


Tobias Schäfers is an Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, as well as a professor of marketing at TH OWL (OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts) in Lemgo, Germany. Before joining CBS, he was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Technical University Dortmund, Germany. In his research, he investigates – often in close collaboration with industry partners – the psychological aspects of individuals’ behavior in relation to services, prices, and digitalization. This includes how consumers use technology to interact with companies and to make purchase decisions at the point of sale, as well as the question how digitalization enables companies to provide additional value-added services. Tobias Schäfers’ research has been published in leading international academic journals and he regularly presents his insights at academic and practitioner-focused conferences.
