Panel Discussion: Steve Collinge: “Thanks for insights and contributions!”

Steve’s entire career has been spent in the DIY & Gardening industry, including senior commercial roles with companies such as LG Harris, Spear & Jackson, Cuprinol and Akzo Nobel. After 20 years of managing large brands and a range of UK retail customers, his most recent role was Sales & Marketing Director for the Dulux Paint business based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He established Insight Retail Group Ltd in 2010 and the following year launched the Insight DIY website, which provides up to the minute breaking news and market intelligence for suppliers, retailers and distributors operating within our industry. Over the last 4 years the Insight business has expanded firstly into the consumer sector with the launch of Kitchen and, the first and only price comparison websites for the Home Improvement Industry.

More recently IRG has expanded its products and services to include the provision of competitor pricing and promotional intelligence to some of the largest retailers in the UK. With his in–‐depth knowledge of the industry, his personal interest in the latest retail trends and with insights gained from his digital business, Steve is well positioning to comment on the ideas and initiatives that are likely to re-shape our industry in the years to come.
