On 8 June 2016, Maria Rannka gave the Welcome Speech at the 4th Global DIY Summit held in Stockholm, Sweden. Maria serves on the Board of Directors of several companies. She is also a Member of the Board of Directors of The Swedish Transport Administration and Business Sweden (The Swedish Trade & Investment Council).
Maria is a well regarded opinion leader with vast media experience. She has written several highly profiled books. As the CEO of the Chamber, she has championed the concept of Global Cities and worked to promote a better understanding of the new economic geography.
She has been named one of Sweden’s most promising women leaders. She was born in 1975 and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Uppsala University. In 2013 Maria completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
